The Braintree American 12A Little League team is gearing up for a significant challenge as they advance to the New England Regionals in Bristol, Connecticut. With an undefeated record, the excitement among the players is palpable.

"It's great. Our goal was just to win districts, now we're in the regionals," expressed Frankie Fasoli, a player on the team, reflecting the enthusiasm that has taken hold of the squad.

Following a decisive shutout victory against Walpole on Sunday, the team wasted no time returning to practice, hitting the batting cages to prepare for their upcoming matches.

"I think we really do have a chance to make it in," said Sam Trotta, another player, emphasizing the strong camaraderie and teamwork that has propelled them this far.

Head coach Frank Fasoli shared his pride in the team's accomplishments but reminded everyone that their journey is far from over.

"Every time we get the win that we're looking for, it's the next one now," Coach Fasoli noted. "Yesterday everyone was celebrating, and I'm like now we're onto regionals. That's the focus, the next step now."

As they prepare to take the field in Bristol, the team is determined to fight for a coveted spot in Williamsport, where they could showcase their skills on a national stage.

"It's great; I always wanted to play baseball on TV," Frankie Fasoli added, highlighting the dreams that fuel their ambition.

The New England Regional tournament kicks off on Saturday, August 2, and the local community is rallying behind these young athletes.

"Back when we were in districts, people would say we're 12 wins away, you know and then it was six, now it's three," Coach Fasoli remarked, illustrating the journey they have undertaken together.
