Brittany Mahomes Responds to Lions Player's Meme Targeting Patrick
Brittany Mahomes didn't hold back when responding to a meme posted by Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold, who took aim at her husband, Patrick Mahomes, just before the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Lions on Sunday Night Football.
Arnold stirred the pot with a photoshopped image featuring his head coach, Dan Campbell, sneaking up on a laughing Patrick. This playful jab came ahead of the game on October 12, igniting Brittany's competitive spirit.
The original meme depicted WWE star AJ Styles prematurely celebrating a match against The Undertaker, suggesting Styles was blissfully unaware of impending trouble. In Arnold's adaptation, Patrick became the unsuspecting target of the Lions' strategy to defeat the Chiefs and erase his smile.
However, the playful banter backfired as the Chiefs triumphed over the Lions with a score of 30-17. Brittany quickly took to social media to remind Arnold of the outcome.

She shared a screenshot of Arnold's meme on her Instagram Story, tagging him directly. This move was clearly intended to illustrate that Patrick had indeed gotten the last laugh.
In a further show of support, Brittany posted a video of her husband scoring a touchdown and celebrating with a ball spin, captioning it with enthusiasm: “The ball spin 🏈🔥❤️.”
On October 14, she also highlighted Patrick's achievement of becoming the fastest quarterback to reach 300 passing touchdowns by reposting the Chiefs' celebratory post.
Brittany has been a steadfast supporter of Patrick since their high school days. The couple married in March 2022, shortly after welcoming their first child, daughter Sterling, in February 2021. They have since expanded their family with son Bronze, 2, and daughter Golden, 9 months.
“Every year is different with my babies,” Brittany expressed on Instagram in August as the NFL season approached. “I get so excited taking them to the first game and seeing how much more they understand and enjoy watching their dad play! This year is gonna be a good one.”
Before Sunday’s game, Brittany was seen giving Patrick a kiss on the sidelines, a ritual she often performs to wish him luck. She donned a stylish white shirt paired with denim jeans and carried a red handbag for the occasion.
While Brittany is one of the more prominent figures among the Chiefs' WAGS, she wasn't alone in drawing attention that day. Taylor Swift, engaged to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was also present at Arrowhead Stadium.
Swift sported a custom oversized black GANNI mini dress and celebrated Kelce’s victory with friends at a cocktail bar post-game. “My best friends ✨🤍,” wrote Samantha Corum, who is married to Kelce’s cousin Tanner Corum, sharing moments of their celebration on Instagram.

Kelce appeared to nod to Swift’s style with his plaid pregame shirt, reminiscent of her recent plaid ensemble seen in New York City.
