On August 21, the Kansas City Chiefs' TikTok account sparked a wave of confusion among players regarding the teen drama The Summer I Turned Pretty.
The video prompted players to weigh in on the show's central love triangle involving Isabel “Belly” Conklin, portrayed by Lola Tung, and her childhood friends, Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher, played by Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno. The question posed was simple: Team Jeremiah or Team Conrad?
“What?” Travis Kelce exclaimed, visibly perplexed, as he walked past the camera.
As teammates strolled by, many echoed his bewilderment, with some simply shaking their heads in confusion.
“Who are these people?” wide receiver Tyquan Thornton joked, while another player quipped about whether they were on “Love Island or something.”
Chukwuebuka Godrick added, “Who are these individuals? I have no idea,” further highlighting the players' lack of familiarity with the series.
