Dallas Wings Reschedule Aug. 1 Game Against Indiana Fever to American Airlines Center

Jul 08 2025

The Dallas Wings are set to host the Indiana Fever at the American Airlines Center on August 1, marking a repeat of their earlier matchup that drew an impressive crowd. This decision comes after the franchise achieved a record attendance of 20,409 fans during their last game at the AAC on June 27.

Fans are eager for a potential showdown between Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark, although Clark's recent groin injury has kept her sidelined for several weeks. If she returns in time, the first face-off with Bueckers could occur on July 13 in Indianapolis.

The June 27 game not only set a franchise record but also became one of only eight regular-season games in WNBA history to attract over 20,000 spectators. Among the notable attendees were NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving, Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons, and Cooper Flagg, the Mavericks' recent No. 1 draft pick.

Television ratings soared as well, with over one million viewers tuning in to watch the game. The Wings initially struggled against the Fever, who played without Clark, but rallied in the second half. Bueckers made a significant impact by hitting a buzzer-beater three-pointer just before halftime, finishing the game with 27 points despite a slow start.

Despite overcoming a 23-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Wings fell short, ultimately losing to Indiana 94-86. Now, they aim to turn the tables in front of another large crowd.

Typically, the Wings play at College Park Center, which accommodates 7,000 fans and is located about 20 miles from downtown Dallas. Since relocating from Tulsa in 2016, the team has plans to move into a renovated arena at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas within the next couple of years.

Tickets for the August 1 game will be available starting at 10 a.m. CT on July 11. Fans who previously purchased tickets for the original venue will receive refunds. Season ticket holders and group ticket buyers will have their seats relocated to comparable locations within the AAC, according to an official announcement.
