Denver Welcomes Sports Icons at the Gondola Sports Summit

May 20 2025

So, guess what? Denver's buzzing with excitement as over 500 folks from every major sports league and some of the biggest platforms in the game are rolling into town for the Gondola Sports Summit. It's all about building community and shaking things up in the sports industry.

And get this, they’ve got some serious bling on display. "We have four special guests: the F1 Vegas trophy, the Larry O'Brien Trophy, the Vince Lombardi Trophy, and the NCAA championship trophy," said Jared Kleinstein, the mastermind behind Gondola. Talk about a star-studded lineup!

From Vince to Larry, it’s like a who's who of the global sports scene gathering in one place. Kleinstein, who’s the Founder and CEO of Gondola, shared, "Gondola is a tool for creators to build portfolios, gather analytics, and find opportunities in the creative world." He’s all about bringing this online community together in person to help them level up their careers.

Denver is the perfect backdrop for this event, Kleinstein told CBS Colorado. "There are a lot of other events that roam. They go from different city to different city. We want this to be about Denver," he emphasized. It’s like a love letter to the Mile High City!

Local sports leaders are pumped about having this summit right in their backyard. Meredith McClanahan, the VP of marketing for the Colorado Avalanche, said, "We're lucky to have this in our backyard in Colorado." She pointed out that while the sports industry is vast, it’s also pretty tight-knit. "There's a lot we can learn from each other and network across different sports and organizations," she added.

Kleinstein’s vision for the Sports Summit is all about empowering creators. He wants attendees to walk away with new connections, collaborations, and relationships. "I hope that people come out of this realizing that it doesn't matter if you've been in the industry for 15 years or you're just getting into it," he said. "There's a place for you." It’s all about inclusivity and growth, folks!

Romi Bean, CBS Colorado's lead sports anchor, is also in the mix. You might want to check out her bio and drop her an email if you’re curious!
