Ghislaine Maxwell's Prison Transfer Sparks Outrage from Survivors
Virginia Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts, expressed outrage over Ghislaine Maxwell’s recent transfer to a minimum-security facility, labeling it a “Real Housewives prison.” This move, he argues, is a blatant insult to survivors like his sister, who endured the horrors of trafficking.
Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence for her involvement in trafficking women for Jeffrey Epstein, was relocated to the Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas. This facility boasts amenities such as a gym, yoga classes, and even a "puppy program," raising eyebrows about the nature of her confinement.
In an interview on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360°, Roberts stated, “For her to be put up in what I would call it, a posh prison, a minimum security prison, is an insult.” He referenced President Trump’s previous comments advocating for severe penalties for sex traffickers, questioning the fairness of Maxwell’s treatment.
“We’re seeing the exact opposite right now,” Roberts continued. “She’s being transferred to a minimum security prison, which I’ll just state as the ‘Real Housewives’ prison. It’s an insult to us. It’s an insult to survivors. And she should be immediately transferred back to a maximum security prison.”
This transfer followed Maxwell’s meeting with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who previously served as Trump’s personal lawyer. Speculation has arisen that she may receive leniency in exchange for statements regarding Trump’s conduct.

The connection between Trump and Epstein dates back to the late 1980s, with Trump’s name reportedly appearing in Epstein’s files—documents he has yet to release despite promises made during his campaign.
Roberts and his wife Amanda voiced their concerns about the implications of Maxwell’s transfer. “Quite frankly, it absolutely shows that there’s some sort of negotiation going on. I mean, let’s be real... We’re not stupid, right?” he remarked.
He further questioned the rationale behind negotiating with someone convicted of sex trafficking and perjury. “I’m not quite sure why we continue to negotiate with somebody who is a known perjurer,” he added.
Meanwhile, U.S. District Judge Richard Berman recently denied the Justice Department’s request to unseal grand jury materials from Epstein’s 2019 case, asserting that the government already possesses ample documentation for public release.
The House Oversight Committee announced that the DOJ plans to begin releasing Epstein-related records soon, ensuring that victims’ identities will be protected in the process. However, Roberts emphasized that those complicit in the crimes should not remain anonymous: “They’re monsters… their names should not be redacted.”

Amanda Roberts reflected on Giuffre’s determination to expose those involved in the trafficking network. “That was her fight… expose these monsters and hold them accountable,” she stated.
The Maxwell family and the Department of Justice have been approached for comments regarding this ongoing situation.
