Gracie Hunt Celebrates Relationship with Derek Green
Gracie Hunt is openly celebrating her relationship with Derek Green, whom she describes as her best friend. The 26-year-old heiress to the Kansas City Chiefs shared a heartfelt montage on Instagram, showcasing their adventures together.
Three months after subtly introducing their romance, Hunt posted a video montage captioned “Friends since 2017.” The video, set to Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me,” features the couple engaging in various activities, including paddleboarding, biking, dancing, and even axe throwing.
Overlaying the video, a text reads, “You look happier. Thank you I’m dating my best friend,” highlighting the joy she finds in their relationship. Green, 24, is not only a former college football player from Southern Methodist University but also the son of former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green. He currently works in sports operations in Kansas City.
Hunt, daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt and Tavia Hunt, previously dated Cody Keith. Speculation about their breakup surfaced earlier this spring. In contrast to Keith, Green seems to have won over the Hunt family. Tavia expressed her happiness in the comments section of Gracie’s post, stating, “I’m crying 😭❤️🥰💖.” Her younger sister Ava echoed this sentiment with, “This makes me so happy.”
Hints of their relationship first emerged in early April when Gracie shared photos of them at Arrowhead Stadium, arms around each other. At that time, she did not disclose Green’s name but captioned the images with a reference to Swift’s song “Invisible String,” suggesting a deeper connection that had been building since they met seven and a half years ago.

This post followed closely after Keith hinted at their split by sharing a series of photos that did not include Gracie. His caption read, “March dump! There was a little bit of work, a little bit of play, but most importantly, spectacular memories were made!”
Just two weeks later, Gracie and Derek made a public appearance together at the White House Correspondents Dinner, where they were seen sitting at the Fox News table and posing for photos. Since then, Green has become a regular feature on Gracie’s social media accounts.
In mid-May, she posted another carousel of images showcasing their time together—holding hands, working out, and enjoying life. “My heart is full,” she wrote in the caption. “Grateful for some much-needed time to rest, reflect, and reset after a whirlwind few months post-football season. So thankful for time with the people who keep me grounded, remind me I’m loved, and never fail to make me laugh. Swipe for a few favorite snapshots from life lately.”
