Greg Olsen Celebrates Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's Relationship

Aug 20 2025

Greg Olsen expressed his admiration for Travis Kelce's relationship with Taylor Swift following an unforgettable weekend spent with the couple. The camaraderie was palpable, as Olsen, 40, and Kelce, 35, co-founded Tight End University alongside San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle.

This year’s event in June saw Swift, also 35, making a surprise appearance at the opening night party, where she delighted attendees with a live performance in Nashville. “There were moments during the night when we all exchanged glances, thinking, ‘Is this really happening?’” Olsen recounted in an exclusive interview while promoting his Youth Inc. initiative aimed at supporting youth sports families and coaches. “We’re just grateful for how far TEU has come.”

Olsen, who enjoyed a 14-season NFL career and now serves as a color analyst for Fox Sports, noted Swift's remarkable ability to blend into the football community. “She was incredibly gracious,” he remarked. “She took pictures with my daughter Talbot, who’s 12. The connections she made were genuine; it’s clear why people rave about her. For two and a half days, she was part of the group and had a fantastic time. After the initial surprise wore off, everyone respected her space to enjoy her time with Travis.”

The friendship between Olsen and Kelce dates back a decade, originating when Olsen played for the Carolina Panthers while Kelce was establishing himself with the Kansas City Chiefs. “He’s the kind of guy you want around,” Olsen said of Kelce. “He’s the life of the party, making everyone feel included. There are no outsiders; he’s just a very social and comfortable person.”

Given this description, it’s easy to see why Kelce and Swift make such a dynamic couple. “I look forward to spending time with them a few times each year and calling some of his games, which is always enjoyable,” Olsen added. “Good people attract good people. Their connection is evident, and in today’s world, especially under public scrutiny, that bond is harder to find than one might think.”

In addition to his role at Fox Sports and involvement with Tight End U, Olsen recently launched Youth Inc., a platform focused on youth sports commerce and content. This initiative combines expert-driven resources, including Olsen’s “Youth Inc.” podcast, with a modern marketplace offering premium gear, fanwear, and custom team apparel from leading brands.

“There are so many more decisions now surrounding youth sports for kids,” Olsen explained. “Choosing teams and schools has become complex. Kids are transferring more than ever; it’s a different landscape compared to traditional youth sports when things didn’t get serious until high school.”

Olsen, who shares Talbot and sons Tate, 14, and T.J., 12, with his wife Kara, continued, “This competitive atmosphere has trickled down to kids as young as 10 or 11. While there are many positives to this shift, we also need to acknowledge the challenges. It’s our responsibility to present both sides.”

For those interested in subscribing to Youth Inc., further details are available on their website.
