Influencer's Reckless Act: Firework Shot into Child's Bedroom Leads to Arrest
Social media influencer Atallah Younes, hailing from Palestine, recently found himself in hot water after a reckless stunt on New Year's Eve. Younes recorded himself shooting a firework into the window of a child's bedroom, causing chaos and endangering lives.
The firework, aimed by Younes, landed directly inside the child's bedroom situated on the third floor of an apartment building in a Berlin suburb of Neukoelln. The incident sent shockwaves through the community and led to Younes' swift arrest by the authorities as he tried to flee Germany.
Authorities wasted no time in addressing the severity of the situation. The 24-year-old influencer could potentially face prison time if convicted for the serious arson offense. "A man suspected of serious arson on New Year's Eve was arrested today by federal police while attempting to leave the country at Berlin airport following search operations by our State Criminal Police," stated the authorities.
In the aftermath of the firework explosion, Younes took to social media to issue an apology to the affected family. In a post visible to his 500K Instagram and TikTok followers, Younes sat down with the child's father, Abu Muhammad, expressing remorse for his actions.
"I know I was wrong, the thing was not intentional. I don't know how it [the firework] flew. I lit it up and I didn't know," Younes conveyed to his followers. "We came to you, Abu Muhammad, and we apologize to you. I hope you accept our apology."
Despite deleting the initial post related to the incident, netizens managed to retrieve and repost the clip, allowing viewers to witness the gravity of the situation. The video sparked outrage among many viewers who believed that Younes deliberately aimed the firework at the child's bedroom.
Commentary on the video was swift and condemning. "That was deliberate. I mean, he pointed it right at the window," remarked one viewer. Another demanded justice, stating, "He should be charged with attempted murder." A third questioned the influencer's motives, asking, "Why would anyone point it in any other direction other than the sky?"
