Hooters Waitress Tries to Flirt Her Way Out of DUI Stop, Calls Cop 'Nerd' When It Doesn't Work

In a bizarre turn of events, a 22-year-old Hooters waitress, Sophia Ross, found herself in a sticky situation during a late-night traffic stop in Sarasota, Florida, last year. The entire encounter, where Ross tried to flirt her way out of a DUI arrest, only to resort to name-calling when her efforts fell flat, was caught on the officer's bodycam.

According to the bodycam footage obtained by WFTV, Ross, sporting the iconic Hooters tank top, made a series of cringe-worthy attempts to charm her way out of trouble. From suggesting making out with the cop to repeatedly calling him 'daddy,' her efforts took an awkward turn as the officer remained unfazed.

Despite the officer's professional demeanor, Ross persisted with lines like, "I will do anything for you, daddy," and "I can't keep my hands off of you," only to be met with a firm, "Unfortunately you're gonna have to." The officer, although occasionally amused by the situation, continued with the sobriety test.

As Ross lifted her sweatshirt to reveal her Hooters tank top, it became evident that her tactics were not working. Frustrated by the lack of success, she resorted to mocking the officer, exclaiming, "Bro, don't be such a f**king nerd, bro," as she repeatedly taunted him with the label 'nerd.'

Despite the officer's warnings about the bodycam recording the entire interaction, Ross seemed unfazed, retorting, "You think I give a f**k?" The situation escalated, leading to Ross being taken into custody without completing the field sobriety tests.

Following the incident, Ross faced charges of DUI but pleaded not guilty. Records indicate that she is scheduled for a pretrial hearing, as reported by Law and Crime. The police report, obtained by WFTV, revealed that Ross was pulled over after exhibiting erratic driving behavior, including stopping at green lights and hitting curbs. She admitted to authorities that she had been drinking at a bar prior to being stopped.
