Valkyrae Makes Triumphant Return to Twitch, Secures Top Spot Among Female Streamers
Valkyrae, also known as Rachel Hofstetter, has made a grand reentry to Twitch, swiftly climbing back to the top of the streaming charts just one week after her return following a five-year absence. After exclusively streaming on YouTube for half a decade, Valkyrae announced her comeback to Twitch at the end of 2024. Her first day back on January 8, 2025, marked the beginning of a remarkable journey that has already rewritten the platform's history.
Within a mere week, the 100 Thieves co-owner has outshined all competition, emerging as the most-watched female personality on Twitch. Data from Streams Charts reveals that Valkyrae accumulated a staggering 706,000 hours of watch time in her first week back, placing her significantly ahead of the record-breaking IronMouse, who secured the second spot.
Surpassing popular figures like VTuber, Emiru, and ExtraEmily, Valkyrae achieved this feat without excessive streaming hours. Throughout her first week back, she streamed for a total of 47 hours and 30 minutes, notably less than some of her top 10 competitors, including IronMouse, who streamed an additional 12 hours.
Despite her modest streaming hours, Valkyrae reached a peak of 36,907 concurrent viewers. While others like by_Owl, Emiru, and HappyHappyGal also hit this milestone between January 8 and January 14, Valkyrae's return has been met with immense enthusiasm from her fans.
