Coffeezilla's Response to "Scary Guy" Label from Hawk Tuah Girl Unveils Surprising Podcast Invite
Coffeezilla has recently addressed being labeled a "big scary guy" by Haliey Welch from Hawk Tuah, shedding light on an intriguing turn of events where he was actually invited to her podcast before FaZe Banks.

Back in December 2024, Haliey Welch, known for launching the $Hawk meme coin, faced a significant backlash as the token's value plummeted shortly after its release, with many critics accusing her of executing a "rug pull."
YouTube's crypto investigator, Coffeezilla, wasted no time in criticizing Welch's token launch, openly expressing his disapproval during a conversation with the influencer on X. Since then, Welch has maintained a low profile regarding the launch and has not aired an episode of her podcast, Talk Tuah with Haliey Welch, since December 3, 2024.
However, a leaked return episode featuring FaZe CEO Ricky Banks on February 6, 2025, revealed Welch's candid remarks about Coffeezilla. She referred to him as a "scary guy" and expressed her reluctance to engage in a conversation with him.
In response to Welch's comments, Coffeezilla disclosed that it was, in fact, Welch's lawyer who extended an invitation for him to appear on her podcast even before FaZe CEO Banks.
Sharing insights into the situation, Coffeezilla stated, "I found it odd because Haliey Welch's lawyer reached out to me first. He was quite insistent about having me on the show and emphasized how much Haliey Welch admired me."
He further revealed messages from Welch's lawyer, emphasizing the desire for Coffeezilla to participate in a detailed discussion about the $Hawk token launch.
The message read, "Haliey is keen to host you as a guest on her podcast. You would be her inaugural guest post the token launch debacle, promising substantial viewership. The interaction would be amicable. She holds you in high regard and wishes to delve into a comprehensive conversation about the intricacies of crypto."
Despite the invitation, Coffeezilla expressed his reservations about participating in the podcast without receiving satisfactory explanations regarding the failed token launch.
He stated, "There are still unanswered questions lingering, so if Haliey is genuinely interested, I would appreciate transparent responses regarding the events involving Alex/Clinton/her... However, I am hesitant to partake in a podcast when there are unresolved issues."
Although Coffeezilla declined the podcast offer, FaZe Banks accepted the invitation to appear on the show and listen to Welch's account of the events that transpired behind the scenes. Banks mentioned that the Talk Tuah episode was not intended for release, but the show's team leaked it on YouTube.
During the leaked episode, Welch emotionally acknowledged her "grave error" during the coin launch and expressed her desire to reconcile with those who had invested in the token.
