‘Island Boys’ Sensation Franky Venegas Arrested in Florida for Gun and Drug Offenses
The internet-famous "Island Boys" rapper, Franky Venegas, found himself in hot water after a recent encounter with law enforcement in Florida. The 23-year-old, who gained widespread attention alongside his twin brother, Alex, in 2021 with their hit "I'm an Island Boy," was arrested on gun and drug charges during a traffic stop, as reported by the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
During the incident, Venegas, known for his distinctive appearance characterized by tattoos, grills, and a unique hairstyle resembling a palm tree, was a passenger in a yellow Corvette driven by a 25-year-old woman. The vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation, leading to a search that uncovered illicit items.

A subsequent search by a K9 unit revealed a stash of oxycodone pills in a plastic bag under Venegas' seat. Initially denying ownership of the pills, Venegas later claimed they were prescribed to him but failed to provide evidence to support his assertion. Additionally, a designer handbag found in the car contained a Glock handgun that had been altered and lacked identifiable serial numbers.
Following the discovery, Venegas was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of a modified firearm. The rapper, also known by his stage name Kodiyakredd, is renowned not only for his music but also for his striking appearance, which includes extensive tattoos, grills, and unconventional hairstyles.

After spending a brief period in jail, Venegas posted bail and is set to appear in court on March 17, according to official records. This recent arrest is not Venegas' first brush with the law, as he was previously detained in Fort Lauderdale in 2024 for impersonating his brother during a traffic stop and faced allegations of domestic violence in Broward County a year earlier.
Despite his legal troubles, Venegas and his brother continue to captivate online audiences with their unique style and music. The "Island Boys" have amassed a significant following due to their distinctive appearance and catchy tunes, making them a notable presence in the digital realm.

As Venegas navigates the legal repercussions of his recent arrest, fans and followers await further developments in his case. Stay tuned for updates on this unfolding story as the "Island Boys" rapper faces the consequences of his alleged involvement in gun and drug-related offenses.
