A 33-Year-Old California Spanish Teacher’s Accused Of Having Sex With A 17-Year-Old Student
A high school Spanish teacher in California has being accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student, as reported by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.
The accused, Dulce Flores, who teaches at Riverbank High School near Modesto, allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with the student while he was enrolled in her class back in 2023. Flores, 33, had been a faculty member at the school since 2016, according to law enforcement officials.

The scandal came to light when a school official received a tip about the alleged misconduct, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the matter. As a result, Flores has been placed on a leave of absence while the case is being looked into, as per a statement from the Riverbank Unified School District, as reported by The Modesto Bee.
The school district has assured that it is fully cooperating with the authorities and has been in touch with the families of students who were under Flores’ tutelage to ensure minimal disruption to their education for the rest of the academic year.
Superintendent Constantino Aguilar expressed regret over the situation, stating, “It is truly unfortunate for our district to face a situation like this. While we continue to work with law enforcement, the district will also look to determine what options it may have available to independently address this matter.”

Following the investigation, Flores was apprehended at her residence on Tuesday and subsequently taken into custody at the Stanislaus County Jail on charges related to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. She is currently being held on a $20,000 bail, according to law enforcement officials.
The authorities have been contacted for further details on the case, including the Stanislaus County District Attorney's Office, to shed more light on the ongoing investigation.
