Bulls Stage Epic Comeback to Defeat Heat 114-109

Mar 09 2025

In an electrifying showdown on Saturday night, Josh Giddey led the Chicago Bulls to a stunning comeback, scoring 26 points as they overcame a 17-point deficit to defeat the Miami Heat 114-109.

Coby White also shone brightly, contributing 21 points, while Zach Collins made a significant impact with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Tre Jones added 15 points to the mix, helping the Bulls secure their second consecutive win in Florida after a previous victory against Orlando.

The turning point came when White executed a three-point play with just 1:25 left on the clock, giving the Bulls a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Giddey sealed the deal with a crucial 3-pointer 17 seconds before the final buzzer.

Miami initially dominated, establishing a 51-35 lead early in the second quarter. However, they faltered, allowing the Bulls to stay within striking distance, scoring only four points in the last 7:13 of the period.

For the Heat, Bam Adebayo and Andrew Wiggins each netted 22 points, while Tyler Herro added 21. Wiggins made a notable return after missing five games due to a right ankle sprain.

This loss marked the 16th time this season that Miami has squandered a double-digit lead, a troubling trend for the team.

In a pivotal moment, Jones scored two consecutive layups, and Jalen Smith added another layup with 5:52 remaining in the fourth quarter, capping an 11-0 run that put the Bulls ahead 97-94 for the first time since the opening period.

The Bulls excelled at the free-throw line, making 23 of 26 attempts, with White impressively finishing 9 of 9.

Looking ahead, the Bulls will host the Indiana Pacers on Monday, while the Heat will continue their five-game homestand against the Charlotte Hornets on the same day.
