Kate Hudson's Hilarious Wardrobe Malfunction Steals the Show at Running Point Screening
During a recent PaleyLive screening in New York City, the 45-year-old actress found herself in a bit of a wardrobe pickle while promoting her upcoming Netflix film, which features Brenda Song and Justin Theroux. In a clip that made its way to social media, Hudson was in the middle of answering a question when her stunning Proenza Schouler black dress unexpectedly popped open.
With a gasp, she instinctively covered herself, but host Samantha Barry quickly reassured her, saying, “It’s OK.” Meanwhile, Theroux, 53, jumped into action, rushing to the back of her cutout gown to help fix the situation.
Brenda Song, 36, didn’t miss a beat either. She leaped out of her seat to stand in front of Hudson, spreading her arms wide to shield her from the audience and cameras. Talk about friendship goals!
With a laugh, Hudson quipped, “You didn’t expect this,” as Barry and Theroux worked on her outfit. “I did this on purpose,” she joked, clearly keeping the mood light. “I got it,” Theroux replied, as Hudson giggled, “Just keep talking!”
Once her dress was back in place, the trio continued their discussion, playfully wondering how many more times Hudson's dress might decide to make a break for it.
As the panel wrapped up, the unexpected happened again—Hudson's dress broke once more! She clapped at the audience, gasped, and instinctively grabbed her chest. Trying to keep things low-key, she silently waved Theroux over for another round of adjustments. He quickly stood behind her, making sure everything was secure.
Hudson completed her chic look with Loree Rodkin 18K Diamond Star Drop Earrings and a silver ring, while her soft glam makeup featured sparkly eyeshadow, pink lips, and mascara. Her platinum blonde hair was styled to perfection, parted to the side and blown out for that extra flair.
