Thieves Robbed Convenience Store Armed With Pythons In Bizarre Cannabis Oil Heist: 'The Snake Is A Weapon'
In an unusual turn of events, authorities in Tennessee are searching for a group of thieves who executed a robbery using pythons instead of conventional weapons.
These unusual crooks made off with $400 worth of cannabis oil from a gas station convenience store located on Highway 138 in Denmark. Surveillance footage released by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office captures the moment when one of the robbers brandished a snake right in front of the store clerk, according to a report by WREG-TV News.

Witnesses described the scene as both frightening and surreal. “They were just waving them around and putting them on the counter,” said customer Mayur Raval. “One person brought in one snake first, and then after that, he brought in another snake. One is white and one is brown or a mix.”
Raval further noted that the robbers had clearly planned their escapade. “They pulled their car up to the front of the door. I think they planned to successfully come here and rob the store. The snake is a weapon, you know.”

After snatching the cannabis oil, the thieves made a quick getaway in a small four-door sedan.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first snake-related robbery in Tennessee. Last year, a man named Reginald Cook attempted to rob a gas station in Memphis using a 5-foot snake, only to be outmatched when the clerk pulled out a gun and called 911.
