IShowSpeed's Manager Sets the Record Straight on China Tour Payment Rumors
IShowSpeed's cameraman and content manager has recently addressed swirling rumors regarding the popular streamer’s financial arrangements during his latest tour in China.
Over the past year, IShowSpeed has been trading his cozy bedroom for the thrill of streaming tours, connecting with fans across various continents, including Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. These adventures have attracted massive viewership, showcasing his ability to engage audiences worldwide.

His latest escapade has taken him to China, where he kicked off his journey in Beijing. From performing a backflip at the Great Wall of China to indulging in his usual antics, Speed is making the most of his time in the country.
The Chinese government has even recognized IShowSpeed's visit, with the Chinese Embassy tweeting, “@ishowspeedsuii has kicked off a journey in #China that has already garnered massive global attention, which indicates a broader trend of digital influencers bridging cultural gaps and creating alternative channels for foreign audiences to understand a vibrant China.”

However, this praise has led to speculation on social media that Speed is being financially supported by the Chinese government during his stay. In response, his cameraman, Slipz, has firmly denied these claims.
“Fact: amount of money IShowSpeed has received from the Chinese Government = $0. Posting so it can be used as an actual source,” he stated. “Hi, I am internal with the IShowSpeed team. He is in China at his own expense and will likely take a net loss.”

Slipz elaborated that while they have sought sponsorship opportunities, securing contracts has proven to be a challenge. “It’s just not the easiest thing to put on a contract lol,” he added, highlighting the difficulties in navigating sponsorships.
When asked how IShowSpeed could be losing money despite streaming, Slipz explained that the costs extend beyond just Speed himself. “Traveling every other day with six people plus himself in first-class and five-star hotels adds up rather quickly,” he noted. “The amount he spent on travel in 2024 is an insane number that I don’t think anyone here would guess or expect.”

He further clarified, “By net loss, I am only referring to stream income versus the cost of travel.” He emphasized that while Speed may not be at a net loss overall due to factors like influence and growth, during the tours themselves, he often breaks even or incurs losses.
Looking ahead, IShowSpeed has ambitious plans for future tours, including an extensive visit to Africa, as well as return streams in Peru and Poland. His journey continues to captivate audiences, proving that the world of streaming is as unpredictable as it is exciting.
