Fake NYC Doctor's Botched Butt Implant Removal Leaves 31-Year-Old Woman Brain Dead
A tragic incident in Queens has left a 31-year-old woman brain dead following a botched attempt to remove her butt implants at an illegal home clinic run by a fake doctor. The shocking details emerged from court documents and sources on Wednesday.

The woman sought out Felipe Hoyos-Foronda, who falsely claimed to be a doctor from Colombia, for the procedure at his unlicensed liposuction clinic located on 35th Street near 20th Road in Ditmars Steinway. The appointment took place around 1 p.m. on a Friday, but what was supposed to be a routine procedure quickly turned disastrous.
During the operation, Hoyos-Foronda administered lidocaine through a syringe, which led to the woman going into cardiac arrest. This alarming turn of events prompted immediate action, and she was rushed to Mount Sinai Queens hospital by FDNY EMS, where she was listed in critical condition. In a shocking twist, while the victim was fighting for her life, Hoyos-Foronda fled the scene in his car.
Upon arrival at the hospital, medical staff intubated the woman, who exhibited no brain activity and showed signs of “lidocaine toxicity,” according to a doctor involved in her care. The situation was dire, and her family and friends were left in disbelief.
In a desperate attempt to retrieve her belongings, a friend of the victim visited the illegal clinic. There, a landlord informed her of the tragic events that had unfolded, prompting her to contact the police. Officers quickly arrived at the scene and spoke with the landlord, who provided them with a photo of Hoyos-Foronda.

Using the information gathered, police tracked the license plate of Hoyos-Foronda’s vehicle to the Van Wyck Expressway. In a dramatic turn of events, Port Authority officers apprehended him at JFK Airport as he was preparing to board a flight, effectively preventing him from escaping justice.
Hoyos-Foronda was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, along with unauthorized practice of a profession. During his arraignment on Sunday, he was ordered held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court again on Thursday morning, according to court records.
As of Wednesday, the victim remained unconscious at the hospital, and her condition has raised serious concerns among her loved ones. In light of the incident, police have released a photo of a smiling Hoyos-Foronda, appealing to the public for any additional victims to come forward.
