Lunchly has issued a response following claims made by YouTuber Rosanna Pansino about discovering mold inside the influencer-backed product.
In September 2024, a trio of YouTube sensations, MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI, collaborated to launch Lunchly, a lunch kit that directly competes with Lunchables. The product line includes Prime Hydration sports drink and Feastables chocolate bars.
The launch of Lunchly was met with immediate backlash, with critics and fellow creators expressing discontent towards the lunch kit. A month later, Rosanna Pansino, a vocal critic of MrBeast, alleged that she found mold inside a Lunchly kit she had purchased, despite the product having a two-month expiration date.
Had a lot of #MrBeast fans spread the lie that I was faking the moldy @Lunchly vid and would never post the full clip with no cuts.

Well, here you go.
I'm sure they will still not believe this is real, but maybe the dozens of other videos online showing moldy mozzarella cheese… pic.twitter.com/u7cRvXy6Ia
Pansino was not alone in her claims. Other users also reported finding mold in their Lunchly kits, sharing videos of their discoveries on social media platforms.
Addressing the issue in an uncut video comparing Lunchly to Lunchables, Pansino stated, “I’m sure they will still not believe this is real, but maybe the dozens of other videos online showing moldy mozzarella cheese in Lunchly’s will convince them. Again, please be careful eating these if you have them.”
On October 22, Lunchly reached out to Dexerto with a statement in response to Pansino’s allegations, emphasizing that their products undergo a rigorous testing phase in accordance with USDA regulations.
“All Lunchly products undergo a thorough review process to ensure quality and safety. This process includes multiple inspections and approvals, including those from the USDA, before any product is dispatched from the manufacturing facility,” Lunchly stated.
This incident adds to the series of criticisms faced by Lunchly. Previously, two registered dieticians criticized the influencer-endorsed lunch kit, condemning its marketing strategies and advising parents against trusting Lunchly with their children’s nutrition.
Destini Moody from Top Nutrition Coaching expressed, “MrBeast, KSI, and Logan Paul wield significant influence over young audiences on social media and are now attempting to leverage this influence without upholding their responsibility to deliver the quality product they endorse.”
As of now, KSI, MrBeast, and Logan Paul have not directly responded to Pansino’s mold allegations. However, all three have consistently defended Lunchly against critics since its launch in September.
