xQc Faces New Lawsuit from Ex-Girlfriend Adept in California for Millions

Twitch sensation xQc is once again making headlines, but this time it's not for his gaming prowess. The popular streamer is facing a new lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend and fellow streamer, Adept, in the state of California. The lawsuit, which could potentially result in millions of dollars in damages, includes fresh allegations of abuse that were not part of the previous legal battle in Texas.

While some of the claims in the California lawsuit echo those from the Texas case, which was ultimately dismissed by the court, there are new disturbing accusations of domestic violence. Adept, whose real name is Samantha, claims that xQc physically assaulted her by "smashing [her] face into his shoulder," leading to police intervention and the issuance of an Emergency Protective Order.

Moreover, the lawsuit reiterates previous allegations of sexual battery made in Texas. Adept also accuses xQc of leveraging his devoted fan base in a "cult-like" manner to target her, citing instances where his followers referred to her as a "whale." She further alleges that xQc's editors played a role in this targeted harassment by editing and uploading stream clips on YouTube with titles she deems "defamatory."

Examples of these contentious video titles include "Adept robbed xQc" and "Adept literally stole xQc’s McLaren." Adept claims that these misleading publications have severely tarnished her reputation, resulting in the loss of sponsorship deals and a decline in viewership across her streaming platforms.

In terms of financial compensation, Adept is seeking $245,000 in damages, along with punitive damages for all the accusations, as well as reimbursement for legal fees, which could escalate the total claim to well over $1 million USD.

xQc responded to the lawsuit on October 20, revealing that Adept had demanded a staggering $10 million settlement. Expressing his frustration, xQc stated, "Dude, I want to make a song and dance and rant for an hour about this s**t. But I’m not giving it the light of day because it’s just… I don’t know what to say. It’s just sad at this point."

The streamer also asserted that he had already "won in court" regarding previous allegations and dismissed the new claims as "outrageous sh*t." On October 24, xQc informed his X/Twitter community that they were free to discuss the latest lawsuit and emphasized that he was not bound to remain silent on the matter.
