The incident unfolded during a podcast episode where Valkyrae and her co-host, Alythuh, were dressed as characters from DC Comics' Teen Titans. In a clip shared on the official PressESC page, Alythuh handed Valkyrae a box of gifts, among which was a voodoo doll designed to look like Sonii.

Alythuh humorously revealed, "I made a voodoo doll of your ex. I hate that man," to which Valkyrae reacted with surprise, exclaiming, "Alyssa... that is the most deranged sh*t. Oh my god. Why does it actually look like him bro? This is so troll."
The ex-boyfriend in question, Michael 'Sonii' Sherman, a fellow Twitch streamer, had been in a relationship with Valkyrae for four years until their split in 2020.
