Teenage Fleet Farm Employee Stabbed Near Twin Cities, Suspect Apprehended
A shocking incident unfolded southwest of the Twin Cities as a 17-year-old female employee at Fleet Farm was stabbed, leading to the arrest of a 31-year-old man. The Carver County Sheriff's Office responded to a distressing call just after 2 p.m. on Sunday at the store located on the 1900 block of Levi Griffin Road in Carver.
Upon arrival, deputies found the young employee with a stab wound to her neck. She was promptly transported to Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, where she is now in stable condition, thankfully. The swift actions of the authorities and medical personnel likely played a crucial role in ensuring her well-being.
Following the attack, the assailant attempted to flee the scene before law enforcement could intervene. However, thanks to a vigilant witness, crucial information about the suspect's vehicle and license plate was provided to the authorities. Subsequently, deputies managed to locate the vehicle and conducted a high-risk traffic stop, leading to the arrest of the 31-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas.
Authorities have clarified that there seems to be no prior connection between the suspect and the victim, reassuring the public that there is no ongoing threat.
