Atlanta Bank Robbery Suspect: Reward Boosted to $25K
Atlanta authorities have escalated efforts to capture a suspect linked to a harrowing bank robbery incident that transpired last week. The unsettling event unfolded at the United Community Bank on Caroline Street NE, where a bank employee fell victim to a stabbing during an attempted robbery.
Reports indicate that the distressing episode took place around noon on November 20, prompting a swift response from law enforcement following alerts of a robbery and stabbing at the bank premises. Upon arrival, officers discovered an employee with a stab wound to the stomach.
According to investigators, the assailant, an unidentified male, forcibly entered the bank and proceeded to the employee area, demanding money from a staff member. When informed that no funds were accessible, the perpetrator resorted to violence, stabbing the employee before fleeing the scene.
The wounded employee was expeditiously transported to a medical facility for treatment and is anticipated to recuperate from the injuries sustained during the ordeal.
