Man Arrested for Using Dating Apps to Commit Sexual Assault and Robbery
In a shocking turn of events, a 19-year-old man, Hudson Morris, hailing from Harrisburg, Dauphin County, is now facing serious charges after reportedly using dating apps as a means to sexually assault and rob unsuspecting victims. The Lower Paxton Township police revealed that Morris has been charged with two counts of robbery and one count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
According to reports, two victims came forward, detailing their harrowing encounters with Morris after connecting with him through dating platforms like "Taimi" and "Grindr." The victims shared that upon meeting Morris in person, he allegedly attempted to rob them, creating a terrifying ordeal.
One victim recounted setting up a meeting with an individual named "Brandon" on Taimi, who was later identified as Morris. The victim disclosed to authorities that Morris resorted to threats of violence, including brandishing a firearm, coercing the victim into complying with his demands, and engaging in unwanted sexual acts.
On the same day, Morris met another individual through Grindr, where the situation escalated to a dangerous level. Court documents indicate that Morris allegedly wielded a gun, demanding money from the victim with menacing intent.
Fortunately, one of the victims managed to escape the dire situation and promptly contacted emergency services. Following the distressing encounters, Morris reportedly continued his intimidation tactics by sending threatening messages to both victims, exacerbating the trauma they had already endured.
Disturbingly, Morris confessed to the crimes when confronted by law enforcement, shedding light on the gravity of his actions. Currently, Morris is being held in Dauphin County Prison without bail, awaiting his preliminary hearing scheduled for December 16, as indicated by online court records.
