Earlier, on Friday, December 6, ESPN had announced that Randy would be taking a break from the network's Sunday NFL Countdown to focus on a personal health challenge. This announcement further fueled speculations about Randy's well-being.

Thaddeus Moss, however, was quick to express his displeasure at Larry Sr. for making his father's health a public discussion without the family's consent. "This is disgusting," Thaddeus responded via X, emphasizing that private matters should not be exploited for engagement without proper verification.

Despite Thaddeus' swift response, Larry Sr.'s post gained traction. Even former NFL quarterback Brett Favre, who had played alongside Randy on the Minnesota Vikings, shared his support, initially mentioning Randy's supposed battle with liver cancer. Thaddeus promptly corrected the misinformation, stating that his father would address any health concerns when he deemed it appropriate.

Following Thaddeus' clarification, Brett Favre amended his post, removing the reference to Randy's alleged illness. While Larry Sr. did not directly engage with Thaddeus, he reposted a message that hinted at a retraction of his initial claim regarding Randy's health status.

Randy had first hinted at his health struggles during a segment on Sunday NFL Countdown earlier in the month. "Me and my wife and my family, we are battling something internally," Randy shared on the broadcast on December 1.
