NFL Players Deny Relationship with Bobbi Althoff Sparks Speculation

Dec 19 2024

Bobbi Althoff recently stirred up rumors of a new romance, but two NFL players have stepped forward to deny being the man in her life, leaving fans guessing about the identity of her mystery beau.

Althoff, 27, teased her followers with a grainy TikTok video showing a man kissing her on Tuesday, December 17. Despite the man's face being indistinct in the clip, speculations ran wild, with many pointing fingers at New York Jets' offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi or Arizona Cardinals' cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting.

Murphy-Bunting, 27, took to social media to quash the rumors swirling around him. "That's not me," he clarified in a tweet, responding to a user who suggested he was the one kissing Althoff in the video.

Meanwhile, Ogbuehi, 32, also chimed in on a TikTok video discussing Althoff's romantic update. "This is not me or Sean lol," he commented. Althoff seemed to confirm this denial by replying with multiple exclamation marks to Ogbuehi's statement.

Although Althoff has not disclosed further details about the man in the video, she previously expressed gratitude towards Murphy-Bunting for his support during a challenging night out. In July, TMZ obtained footage of Murphy-Bunting carrying Althoff out of Nashville's Barstool Sports Bar in the early hours of the morning. The NFL player lifted Althoff onto his shoulders before placing her in the back of an SUV. Althoff later addressed the incident on her Instagram Story the following day.

"Last night was scary," Althoff shared, without delving into specifics. "But thankful for having good friends in my life like @SeanMurphyBunting for looking out for me."

Murphy-Bunting reciprocated the sentiment by reposting Althoff's message, adding, "Always ❤️🙌."

Allegations of infidelity surfaced amidst Althoff's divorce from her ex-husband, Cory Althoff, which was finalized in August. The former couple, who got married in 2020, agreed to joint custody of their daughters, Luca, 4, and Isla, 2. Cory initiated the divorce proceedings in February, citing July 4, 2023, as their separation date.

"As sad as I am right now, I am so thankful for the time I got to be his wife," Bobbi wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post following Cory's divorce filing. "Our girls are so lucky to have him as a father & I am so lucky to be able to co-parent with such an incredible father and person. While our relationship did not work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him."

Amid the couple's separation, speculations arose that Bobbi had been unfaithful to Cory with guests from her "Really Good Podcast." Known for her deadpan and disinterested interview style, Bobbi has hosted conversations with celebrities like Drake, Jimmy Kimmel, Offset, Lil Yachty, and Tyga. In July, she refuted rumors of romantic involvement with her interviewees.

"I am really sick of seeing [this comment]. Anyone who says stuff like this is so f—ing ignorant," she vented on her Instagram Story, addressing a follower's insinuation that she was "passed around" by different men post-divorce. "You don't know why my marriage ended, that we are both so much happier apart than we ever were together. That now our kids get to see two happy parents instead of zero."

She further clarified, "I have never slept with someone I interview. I don't engage in casual relationships, and I rarely go out. But you guys can't f—ing believe that a woman can be around men without being romantically involved. It's frustrating that I can't post anything without being accused of promiscuity. Live your own lives and mind your business."
