Influencer Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini, 31, Dies After Botched Surgery Following Party with Doctor
Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini, a 31-year-old influencer, tragically died after suffering cardiac arrest post-surgery in Istanbul. The events unfolded shortly after she celebrated with the very surgeon who performed her procedures.
Traveling from Mozambique to Turkey, Buldrini arrived in Istanbul last Friday with her husband, Elgar Miles, to undergo multiple cosmetic enhancements. Her planned procedures included breast augmentation, liposuction, and a nose job, all in exchange for promoting Tusa Hospital on her social media platforms, as reported by local sources.

“She wanted to undergo these procedures to improve her aesthetic standards. It was a dream of hers,” Miles recounted, reflecting on his wife’s aspirations. The couple had recently tied the knot just a month prior to this fateful trip.
Initially scheduled for Wednesday, the surgery was moved to Sunday due to scheduling conflicts. “The surgeon decided to bring it forward,” Miles explained, noting that the operation occurred mere hours after they had partied with the doctor.

While out with the physician the night before, Miles claims that Buldrini was encouraged to proceed with the surgery despite their reservations. “The doctor assured me that there were no problems and that everything would be fine,” he stated, expressing his trust in the medical professional.
With 797,000 followers on Instagram, Buldrini was known for sharing her singing videos and personal journey online. After undergoing surgery, she was reportedly out of the operating room by 11 p.m. on Sunday. Miles received a photo of her recovering and was informed that she was still under anesthesia.

However, when he arrived at the recovery room, he sensed something was amiss. “The assistants were acting strangely. I waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive her,” he recalled. The situation took a devastating turn when doctors later informed him of her death.
“I went down to the ground floor and a doctor said that her heart was beating slowly, another said that she was already dead,” Miles shared, grappling with the shock of the news.

Following the incident, the medical staff at Tusa Hospital were detained but subsequently released by authorities. The hospital has denied any allegations of malpractice, asserting that their team made every effort to revive Buldrini after the surgery.
“Despite all efforts by our expert anesthesiology team, the patient could not be resuscitated,” a statement from Tusa Hospital read, emphasizing their cooperation with ongoing investigations.
