Jack Flaherty and Katie Johnson Share Intimate Moments in Photo Booth
Detroit Tigers pitcher Jack Flaherty and his girlfriend, soccer player Katie Johnson, recently offered fans a peek into their passionate relationship.
On August 13, Flaherty, 29, posted two reels from a photo booth on his Instagram Story, capturing the couple in various affectionate poses. The images prominently featured Flaherty's playful antics, including a moment where he licked Johnson's neck, while another shot showed Johnson, 30, playfully biting his tongue.
Johnson initially shared these steamy snapshots on her own Instagram account, accompanied by a heart emoji, further fueling interest in their romance.
The couple made their relationship public in July when Johnson posted images from a date night at the renowned Napa Valley restaurant, The French Laundry. “Wined and dined 🍷,” she captioned the series of photos that included the couple outside the restaurant and a glimpse into the kitchen.
In December 2024, Johnson announced her retirement from professional soccer after two seasons with Angel City FC. Her career also included stints with the Seattle Reign, Sky Blue FC, Chicago Red Stars, and San Diego Wave in the National Women’s Soccer League.
Although born in California, Johnson represented the Mexican national team, honoring her heritage through her mother, Esther Carreón, who was born in Mexico.
Flaherty returned to the Tigers in February with a two-year, $35 million contract after a brief stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he celebrated a World Series title in July 2024. Prior to that, he spent seven seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals before being traded to the Baltimore Orioles in August 2023.
Flaherty has a close relationship with his mother, Eileen Flaherty, who adopted him when he was just three weeks old and raised him as a single parent. In a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute on Instagram this past May, Jack expressed gratitude for her unwavering support. “Thank you for instilling the idea of greatness in me, not because of who I am, but because of who you are,” he wrote. “Every step of the way you’ve shown me what it means to be determined and pursue one’s goals relentlessly.”
He continued to highlight her sacrifices throughout his life: “From your countless volunteer roles when I was in Little League to giving up weekends, holidays, and especially many Mother’s Days, you have always sacrificed in order to help me put in the work that was necessary to reach my goals.”
