Kaia Gerber Reveals She Grew Up Surrounded by Nude Photos of Her Mom, Cindy Crawford, on the Walls

Kaia Gerber opened up about her unique upbringing in a recent interview for the February 2026 issue of Harper's Bazaar, revealing that her childhood home was adorned with nude photographs of her mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford. The 24-year-old model described these images as a source of empowerment rather than objectification. "They were, to me, artistic," she stated, emphasizing that the presence of such art fostered a sense of comfort regarding the female body. "It wasn’t vulgar; it wasn’t objectification," she added, reflecting on the positive influence these visuals had on her perception of femininity.

Growing up in a household that embraced body positivity, Kaia characterized her early years as "pretty isolated in a really great way." She noted that her upbringing was "as normal as it could have been," despite the extraordinary circumstances surrounding her family. Public school, community theater, and various artistic pursuits filled her schedule. "I always went to public school. I did theater. I did every community play. I was in choir. I did singing recitals. I danced," she recounted, highlighting her diverse interests.

Broadway shows also played a significant role in her childhood memories. Kaia fondly recalled attending "Wicked" eight times and memorizing all the lyrics to "Rent" by the age of nine. These experiences contributed to her artistic development and love for performance.

In discussing her relationship with her brother, Presley Walker, 26, Kaia noted the contrasting perspectives they hold about their shared upbringing. "It's so interesting to articulate your own childhood," she remarked, pointing out that their memories often differ significantly. This realization has deepened her understanding of how multiple realities can coexist within a single family narrative.

Kaia and Presley are the only children of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, 63. Her reflections on childhood come shortly after she was spotted on the set of Ryan Murphy's new show, "The Shards," where she bore a striking resemblance to her mother. In November, she was seen alongside costar Homer Gere, 25, who is the son of Crawford's ex-husband, Richard Gere.
