Liv Morgan Confronts Nikki Garcia Amid WWE Evolution 2 Hype
“You’re lucky, Nikki,” Liv Morgan declared, her voice echoing through the arena.
On June 9, during a heated segment on Monday Night Raw, Morgan confronted Nikki Garcia, who was making her return to the ring. The atmosphere shifted dramatically when Garcia, 41, took the mic to promote the upcoming Evolution 2 PLE, an all-women wrestling event set for July 13 in Atlanta. Her praise for the current WWE roster ignited Morgan’s fury, prompting her to storm into the ring.
“You’re lucky I wasn’t around during your career because I would’ve been champion and beaten you then, too,” Morgan, 31, sneered, her words dripping with disdain.
Garcia maintained her composure, smiling through the tension as Morgan continued her tirade. “I realize why you didn’t mention me. You’re jealous of me. I have everything you don’t: respect, a Championship, and a man!”
The confrontation escalated after Roxanne Perez had previously eliminated Morgan from the first round of competition. In a show of defiance, Morgan executed her signature move, The ObLivion, on Garcia, hinting at a potential clash between the two at Evolution 2.
Nikki Garcia, a Hall of Fame inductee since 2020, made a surprise return during the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble match in February. Her comeback was short-lived as she faced Nia Jax, who eliminated her from the match.
This marked Garcia’s first in-ring appearance since participating in the 2022 Royal Rumble. She and her twin sister, Brie Garcia, officially stepped back from full-time wrestling in 2019.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Nikki expressed her excitement about returning to WWE. “I’ve missed it for quite a few years,” she shared after her appearance on Raw’s Netflix debut. “I miss being Nikki Bella. I miss being around that family. I definitely miss being in that ring.”
Reflecting on her long history with WWE, she added, “Going home to WWE... I started at 22. That’s all I ever knew until recently. The women were just so awesome and united; everyone back there was just so happy.”
Nikki shares a son, Matteo, 4, with ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev. Their relationship faced challenges when she filed for divorce in August 2024 following a felony domestic violence charge against Chigvintsev related to an alleged altercation. Those charges were later dropped, and they reached a settlement three months later.
On a May episode of “The Nikki & Brie Show” podcast, she revealed that she and Chigvintsev are currently “in a great place.”
“We are coparenting so amazing,” she said. “It makes Matteo’s life so amazing, and I don’t want it any other way.”
