Long Beach State Men's Volleyball Team Celebrates 2025 NCAA Championship with Parade

In an exhilarating display of skill and teamwork, the California State University Long Beach men's volleyball team has clinched the 2025 NCAA championship title for the fourth time in its history.
The championship match unfolded on Monday in Ohio, where the Beach dominated UCLA with a clean sweep, winning 25-17, 25-23, and 25-21. This victory marks a significant achievement for the team, which last held the title in 2019.
To honor this remarkable accomplishment, a victory parade is set for Wednesday at 11 a.m. in downtown Long Beach. Fans and community members are encouraged to line the parade route along Pine Avenue, stretching from Fifth Street to Third Street. Following the parade, a reception will be held at Altar Society Brewing Co. at 11:30 a.m.
Long Beach State's volleyball legacy is impressive, with previous championships in 2018 and 1991, the latter when current head coach Alan Knipe was a player on the team.
Freshman standout Moni Nikolov, towering at 6-foot-10, earned the title of NCAA All-Tournament MVP and was also named Big West Player of the Year, showcasing his exceptional talent.
Throughout the season, the team maintained its position as the No. 1 ranked squad in the nation for the final 14 weeks, a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Long Beach State has produced several volleyball legends, including two-time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor, US National Team player Alan Knipe, and National Championship team members TJ DeFalco and Kyle Ensing.
