New Entertainment Venue Set to Open in West Sacramento
A new entertainment venue, The Boulevard, is preparing for its grand opening next week in West Sacramento. Located on West Capitol Avenue, this 37,000 square foot facility occupies the space of a former Safeway that closed its doors in 2018.
"West Sacramento is growing, and we're super happy to be a part of everything that is happening for West Sacramento," remarked Tami Thompson, the director of marketing. The venue aims to cater to both families and adults over 21, offering a diverse range of activities.
Thompson highlighted the venue's extensive gaming options, stating, "We have a lot of immersive gaming, we have over 65 of the latest state-of-the-art arcade games." In addition to traditional arcade offerings, The Boulevard features spark bowlingโa modern twist on the classic game with illuminated lanes that track the ball's movement toward the pins.
Beyond gaming, patrons can enjoy a restaurant and bar, laser tag, and billiards. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the venue's 30 televisions and a striking 17-foot "wow" wall, making it an ideal spot for catching Major League Baseball games just a few blocks away.
With the opening day set for a week from Friday, the venue has already created dozens of new jobs for the local community. A VIP event is scheduled for Wednesday, where attendees can purchase tickets for early access. Proceeds from this event will benefit three local charities: Loaves and Fishes, Habitat for Humanity, and the Yolo County Children's Alliance.
