Nick Hogan Inspects Hulk Hogan’s Future NYC Bar Amid Grief

Aug 05 2025

Nick Hogan toured the site of his father’s upcoming bar, Slam, in New York City, expressing approval of the ongoing construction.

During his visit for WWE SummerSlam, Nick, 35, stopped by the venue near Madison Square Garden alongside business partner Rich Rosen. A photo shared online captures them inside the under-construction establishment, a moment that signifies both nostalgia and hope.

Despite the recent passing of Hulk Hogan at 71, Rosen confirmed that Slam is still on track to open later this year. “Hulk Hogan wasn’t just a partner. He was a dear friend and a legend whose impact on sports and entertainment is immeasurable,” Rosen remarked in July. “He shaped the spirit of what Slam was meant to be, a place where fans from around the world could gather at the very corner where his legend began.”

Rosen emphasized that the bar will serve as a tribute to Hulk Hogan, located directly across from Madison Square Garden, where he made his WWE debut in 1979. “This is for Hulk, and for every person whose life was touched by the power of Hulkamania,” he added.

The 9,000-square-foot venue will feature expansive windows facing MSG and will showcase memorabilia from Hogan’s illustrious career. Patrons can expect to enjoy his Real American Beer while taking in the atmosphere. The bar will also include a rooftop level, with plans still set for a fall opening.

Hulk passed away on July 24 due to cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home. Medical reports later indicated that acute myocardial infarction was the official cause of death. Additionally, it was revealed that he had a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a detail that had not been publicly known.

At WWE SummerSlam, Nick was visibly emotional as the event honored his father’s legacy. He and his wife, Tana Lea, were spotted in the audience during a tribute segment that featured Hulk’s iconic theme song “Real American.” The atmosphere was charged with nostalgia as WWE announcer Michael Cole praised Hulk as “larger than life” and “the greatest performer in our history.”

As cameras captured Nick and Tana at ringside, Cole noted their presence was to “celebrate [Hulk’s] life and legacy,” underscoring the profound impact Hulk Hogan had on both his family and the world of sports entertainment.
