Nicki Minaj Leaves Instagram Following Backlash Over Her Appearance at Turning Point Conference
Nicki Minaj has seemingly deactivated her Instagram account, coinciding with public backlash over her unexpected appearance at the Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest 2026 summit.
On the final day of the four-day conservative event, Minaj, 43, joined Erika Kirk, widow of the organization’s founder, to express her newfound admiration for Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

Her comments sparked significant criticism from fans, leading to her account displaying a message: “Sorry, this page isn’t available.” Interestingly, followers noted that this is not the first time the “Beez in the Trap” artist has left Instagram; she previously quit the platform in October.
While her Instagram presence has vanished, Minaj’s X account remains active.
During her discussion with Kirk, Minaj described Trump as “handsome” and “dashing,” stating, “This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them. Our vice president, he makes me ... well, I love both of them.”

She expressed frustration over being “pushed around,” emphasizing that sharing diverse opinions often leads to controversy because “people are no longer using their minds.”
Kirk, who assumed leadership of Turning Point USA after her husband’s assassination, commended Minaj for her courage in the face of industry backlash for supporting Trump.
“I didn’t notice,” Minaj replied. “We don’t even think about them.” Kirk responded, “We don’t have time to. We’re too busy building, right?” to which Minaj added: “We’re the cool kids.”
Fans have expressed overwhelming disappointment regarding her shift in stance, with some suggesting financial motives behind her comments. One user on X remarked, “If you needed money this badly, you should have just said that.”

Another user declared, “Your career is done,” while a third stated, “You picked the wrong side!”
Minaj, originally critical of Trump, once sang lyrics that seemed to mock his immigration policies. In 2018, she was vocal against his zero-tolerance immigration policy that resulted in the separation of over 5,000 children from their families at the Mexico border. At that time, she shared her own experience as an “illegal immigrant” arriving in the U.S. at age five.
“This is so scary to me. Please stop this. Can you try to imagine the terror & panic these kids feel right now?” she wrote on Instagram back then.
