In a chaotic scene last Thursday, law enforcement apprehended over 100 intoxicated teens at a spring break gathering in Gulf Shores, Florida. Among those arrested was an individual who poured beer over an officer's head as police intervened to disperse the crowd.

A total of 109 out of 113 attendees were taken into custody for underage drinking, according to reports. Officers arrived at the residence after receiving multiple complaints regarding loud music and large gatherings.

“We found 113 people inside the house,” stated Gulf Shores Police Detective Carl Wittstruck. The situation escalated when an unidentified person on a balcony above decided to drench one of the officers with beer during the investigation.

Alongside the underage drinking charges, at least one individual faced complicity charges, while four others were released without any charges. Investigators later determined that the property had been rented by an 18-year-old.

This incident occurred shortly after another party nearby resulted in over 30 arrests for similar offenses. “We don’t want to arrest a bunch of juveniles or underage persons,” Wittstruck expressed. “We want them to follow the rules, to enjoy themselves while they’re here at the beach, make good memories.”

He further emphasized his concern, stating, “My biggest fear is a tragedy will occur.” The police department continues to monitor such events closely, aiming to ensure safety while allowing young people to enjoy their spring break experience.
