Philly Pride Shines at Deck the Hulls Parade Celebrating Eagles
Boats adorned with Philadelphia Eagles flags, vibrant banners, and green lights glided along the Delaware River, as enthusiastic fans cheered from the shore. The atmosphere was electric, filled with a palpable sense of community.
"It's an awesome sense of community. I love to see everyone out. It's great, it's a good time, it brings everyone together," remarked Gavin Barr, capturing the spirit of the event.
Ken Dell expressed his excitement, stating, "It's definitely different. I'm glad that we can show off our team and the city of Philadelphia. Love this team, love this city, nothing but good things." His words resonated with many who gathered to celebrate.
Jaime Hoagey added to the festive atmosphere, saying, "I love the music, I love the colors, the flags, I love everything." The enthusiasm was infectious as families and friends came together for the fourth annual Deck the Hulls boat parade and pier party at Cherry Street Pier.
Organized by Georgette Luna of Sea Philly, a river cruise company, the event embraced an Eagles theme. "It was a no-brainer when we thought about what this year's theme was going to be. It was going to be Eagles-themed, and what better timing? We're about to kick off camp, and so we're like, we're here for our boys," Luna explained.
Families flocked to witness the colorful display, which included a mermaid, giveaways, and a spectacular water show by the Philadelphia Fire Department's Marine Unit. Justine Costen shared her passion for the Eagles: "I am enjoying this. I am going to ride this until the wheels fall off. I am a die-hard Eagles fan; this is right up my alley. I can't wait for the season to start."

Five months post-Super Bowl victory, fans were still riding high on their team's success. The parade served as a rallying point for many eager for the upcoming training camp. "Honestly, whenever I'm having a bad day, I remember that we're the world champions, and all my problems go away," said Lindsay Bates, her excitement palpable.
Steve Barr echoed this sentiment: "This has been the best year, this has been the best season so far, and I can't wait for training camp to start in three days. I'm definitely pumped." The enthusiasm was evident as fans looked forward to another thrilling season.
Looking ahead, Sea Philly is already planning an even grander boat parade for next year, with a theme of red, white, and blue to commemorate America's 250th birthday celebration.
