Ram Announces Return to NASCAR Truck Series in 2026

Jun 08 2025

In a significant move for motorsport enthusiasts, Ram is set to re-enter the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026, marking its return after a 13-year absence. This announcement was made by Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram, during an event at Michigan International Speedway prior to the FireKeepers Casino 400.

Ram's departure from the Truck Series in 2012 followed a successful 17-year stint, primarily to concentrate on the launch of the 2013 Ram 1500. "For more than a decade, customers and our dealer network asked about getting back into NASCAR," Kuniskis stated. "The desire was always there, but we didn't have a plan that delivered the last tenth and following just didn't fit our DNA. Now we have a solid plan that will set us apart from the field and will bring fresh new interest and engagement to America's motorsport."

As part of the announcement, Stellantis unveiled visuals of a concept race truck, showcasing innovative designs that draw inspiration from at least three different Ram models: the Warlock, Rebel, and RHO. This concept truck represents a blend of performance and style, aimed at captivating both fans and competitors alike.

Further details regarding Ram's strategy for its re-entry into the Truck Series are expected to be disclosed later this year, promising an exciting chapter for the brand in the world of NASCAR.
