Ravinia Festival Launches 2025 Season with Star-Studded Lineup

Jun 06 2025

The Ravinia Festival opens its doors this Friday, marking the start of the 2025 season in Highland Park.

This summer, attendees can look forward to performances by Cynthia Erivo, Janelle Monáe, Grace Jones, and Kygo, with concerts scheduled from June 6 through August 31.

Heart, the iconic rock band, will take the stage on opening night, delivering classics such as "Magic Man," "Barracuda," "Alone," and "Crazy on You." The weekend continues with electrifying sets from Grace Jones and Janelle Monáe on Saturday.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy over 100 concerts, including 40 artist debuts. Notable performers like Lenny Kravitz, The Roots, James Taylor, and John Legend are also part of this year's impressive lineup.

For those interested in the complete 2025 schedule, details are available on the Ravinia website.

In a significant development earlier this year, Ravinia Festival announced a $75 million renovation plan aimed at enhancing the venue, starting with the Pavilion.

Initial renovation efforts have already begun behind the scenes. Organizers revealed that new dressing rooms, warmup areas, and loading docks will be available for artists performing at Ravinia.

Visible changes are expected to unfold before the summer of 2026, including the replacement of the Carousel Stage with a new outdoor performance venue.

Festival organizers noted that the Pavilion's acoustics and seating have remained unchanged since the 1950s, highlighting the need for these upgrades.
