Red Panda Injured During WNBA Halftime Show
During the WNBA Commissioner's Cup final on Tuesday night, a beloved halftime performer known as Red Panda fell from her unicycle, crashing onto the court. The incident occurred during the intermission of the game between the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx, abruptly halting her performance.
Initial reports regarding the severity of her injuries remain unclear. Following the fall, which saw her tumble forward onto the court, she was seen clutching her left wrist and was subsequently assisted off the floor in a wheelchair.
In a heartfelt moment captured on social media after the game, Caitlin Clark, who did not participate in the match, expressed her support for Red Panda. "Red Panda, if you're watching, we love you," she stated, highlighting the community's concern for the performer.
Red Panda, whose real name is Rong Niu, hails from a lineage of acrobats and has captivated audiences with her unique act. Balancing custom-made bowls on her leg while riding an 8-foot tall unicycle, she has become a staple at basketball games, including a recent appearance during Game 5 of the NBA Finals in Oklahoma City.

Despite the unfortunate incident, the Fever secured a 74-59 victory over the Lynx in a game that, while not affecting standings, featured a $500,000 prize pool for Indiana. The Lynx were the previous year's champions of the Commissioner's Cup.
