Travis Kelce's Podcast on Hiatus as NFL Training Camp Approaches
Travis Kelce is gearing up for the NFL season, but his podcast, "New Heights," is taking a break. During the latest episode aired on July 9, Jason Kelce shared insights about the show's future as the Kansas City Chiefs head into training camp.
"We have come to the end of the road," Jason, 37, stated, announcing that the podcast will conclude its third season on July 23. He explained that with Travis heading to training camp, it becomes challenging to maintain the podcast's regular schedule. "Whenever training camp starts, we take a hiatus from the pod," he noted.
Despite the pause, Jason confirmed that several pre-recorded episodes featuring special guests are still set to be released. The excitement surrounding training camp is palpable; Travis, 35, expressed enthusiasm as it officially begins on July 22 and runs until August 13. The Chiefs will play three preseason games before their regular season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers on September 5.

Entering his 13th season with the Chiefs, Travis confirmed his return in March after speculation about his future in the NFL. Following a disappointing 2024 season that ended with a Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, he reflected on his decision not to retire. "I think the biggest thing is that I f***ing love playing the game of football," he shared on "New Heights" in March. He emphasized his desire to perform at a higher level than last year, acknowledging that he felt he let his teammates down.
Travis admitted to having "a bad taste in [his] mouth" regarding his previous performance. "I love so many people in Kansas City... itβs home for me now," he said. His commitment to improving is evident as he prepares for the upcoming season. "I put in a lot of hard work and focus into being the best that I can for KC," he added.
This offseason, Travis has dedicated himself to achieving peak physical condition while balancing personal time with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. "I love this game. Itβs still my childhood dream," he stated during a mandatory minicamp practice on June 18. He reiterated that football remains his top priority despite his busy schedule.

Jason Kelce retired in 2024 after 13 seasons with the Eagles, a decision that was emotional for both brothers. Their podcast serves as a means to maintain their close relationship throughout the year. "I donβt know that [our relationship] changes [in the offseason]," Jason remarked, who quickly transitioned to an on-camera role at ESPN post-retirement. He noted that they have more time for family and personal interests outside of football during the offseason.
As both brothers navigate their respective paths, their bond remains strong, with "New Heights" continuing to be a platform for their shared experiences and insights into life beyond the field.
