Trey Yesavage's Girlfriend Overwhelmed with Emotion After World Series Game 5
After an unforgettable Game 5, Taylor Frick, girlfriend of Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Trey Yesavage, shared her emotional response on social media. Yesavage, just 22 years old, made history by striking out 12 batters, leading the Blue Jays to a decisive 6-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on October 29.
“Still crying,” Frick posted on her Instagram Story shortly after the game concluded, capturing the essence of her excitement. She also shared a simple yet powerful message: “Trey Yesavage. That’s it. That’s the tweet.”
Before the game, Frick expressed her enthusiasm, declaring it the “BEST DAY EVER!!!” as she anticipated Yesavage’s performance at Dodger Stadium. Their relationship began in October 2023 when they met at East Carolina University.

Frick celebrated Yesavage’s draft by the Blue Jays in July 2024, proclaiming herself “the biggest Blue Jays fan ever!!” Her heartfelt Instagram post at that time highlighted her admiration: “Getting to watch you do what you love has been such a blessing but the biggest blessing has been getting to know your heart.”
As their first anniversary approached in October 2024, Frick reflected on their journey together. “My little girl self would be smiling ear to ear if she knew she would have a love like this one day,” she wrote, encapsulating a year filled with joy.
Yesavage reciprocated her affection with a simple yet profound “I love you more than you know.” Their bond deepened further when Frick celebrated his promotion to the major leagues in September, expressing pride in his achievements.
Yesavage’s remarkable performance in Game 5 brought the Blue Jays one step closer to their first World Series title since 1993. “I believe in myself, I believe in my defense,” he told Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal post-game, reflecting on his mindset during the match.
“It’s a crazy world. Crazy world. Hollywood couldn’t have made it this good,” he added, emphasizing the surreal nature of his experience. Blue Jays manager John Schneider praised Yesavage’s composure, noting his rapid rise from Single-A to the World Series stage.
“Thinking back to when we called him up, you’re kind of taking a shot to just bring more talent in,” Schneider remarked. “He’s definitely raised our ceiling.”

As anticipation builds for Game 6 in Toronto on October 31, fans are eager to see if Yesavage can continue his stellar performance and lead the team to victory.
