Alexa Bliss Hints at Tag Team Future with Husband Ryan Cabrera

Aug 02 2025

WWE superstar Alexa Bliss has sparked interest in a possible tag team venture with her husband, musician Ryan Cabrera, after he recently stepped into the wrestling ring.

“I gave him a tackle and he did some moves in the ring,” Bliss, 33, shared in an exclusive interview. “We were chain wrestling around. He was actually pretty good. He did a whole entrance. He was having the best time.”

However, the excitement was short-lived. The following morning, Cabrera found himself in an Epsom salt bath, lamenting his experience. “This is horrible,” he reportedly said, adding, “I’m bruised from the ropes. I always respected what you guys did, but now I have a newfound respect for what you guys do because of how painful this is.”

Despite the soreness, Bliss remains optimistic about the idea of Cabrera joining her in the ring. “Never say never,” she remarked about the possibility of a tag team match. She even envisioned a dream matchup: “It would be fun to maybe do a match between me and Ryan and The Miz and Maryse,” she noted, referencing another well-known wrestling couple.

Since their marriage in April 2022 and the birth of their daughter Hendrix in November 2023, Bliss has been navigating the challenges of balancing her wrestling career with Cabrera’s touring schedule. “We have three different calendars,” she explained, emphasizing the complexity of their schedules.

“There’s all different colors,” she added, highlighting the organization required to manage their commitments. Both are on the road frequently, with Hendrix accompanying Bliss and a friend assisting with childcare during events. “So we’re both on the road at the same time and come home on the same day,” she said.

Bliss described how Hendrix has adapted to their traveling lifestyle, despite the increased demands it places on her as a mother. “Babies need so much stuff,” she remarked about her travel preparations. “I went from carrying one checked bag and one carry-on to, like, five checked bags, a bag of toys, a stroller bag, a car seat bag, a travel bassinet. The room explodes with baby stuff everywhere we go.”

When attending shows, Hendrix has her own designated space in the arena. “She has her whole setup and she loves it. She loves watching the shows,” Bliss said.

Hendrix will be present when Bliss teams up with Charlotte Flair to challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE women’s tag team titles on Night 1 of SummerSlam on Saturday, August 1, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

“We’re having fun,” Bliss said regarding her partnership with Flair, 39. “It’s lonely at the top. Not everyone’s gonna like you. For her, it’s about having fun and opening up and being herself. The more we are able to play with that dynamic, the more people connect with us.”

WWE’s two-night SummerSlam event will air live on Peacock Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, starting at 7 p.m. ET.
