Bryson Stott Hits Home Run, Bryce Harper Reaches 350 in Phillies' Narrow Loss to Red Sox

Jul 24 2025

In a thrilling matchup at Citizens Bank Park, Bryson Stott showcased his power with a home run, joining four of his Philadelphia Phillies teammates in a strong offensive display. However, it wasn't enough to secure a victory against the Boston Red Sox, who edged out the Phillies 9-8 in 11 innings.

The night began with a bang for Philadelphia as Bryce Harper launched his 350th career home run in the first inning, taking a fastball from Boston's Lucas Giolito deep into the second deck. The impressive 439-foot shot marked Harper's longest homer since a 451-foot drive against the New York Mets on September 23, 2023.

"It's pretty awesome," Harper remarked following the game. "On an individual note, I'm super happy about it. But I always want to win, obviously, and not getting the win was pretty tough."

This milestone made Harper the 105th player in MLB history to reach 350 home runs and the youngest among the eight active players who have achieved this feat. His recent performance has been stellar; over the last ten games, he has recorded 16 hits, with 14 being extra-base hits, including five home runs.
