CeeDee Lamb Responds to Casino Rumors Ahead of Game

Nov 21 2025

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb confronted rumors about his conduct leading up to the team's Monday Night Football game against the Las Vegas Raiders on November 17. Speculation arose on social media suggesting he was seen outside a casino early that morning, allegedly throwing up.

"That's a disrespect to even suggest that," Lamb stated firmly during a press conference on Thursday. "I know how to hold my liquor." While he did acknowledge that he and teammate George Pickens were out "a little late, after curfew," he dismissed the more salacious claims.

Despite the controversy surrounding their late-night outing, both players delivered strong performances during the game. Lamb recorded 66 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Pickens amassed 144 yards and also found the end zone, contributing to the Cowboys' 33-16 victory.

When pressed about the benching that preceded the game, Lamb remained tight-lipped, saying, "I'm not going in-depth on that. Honestly, I'm not. I'm sorry, I'm not." His coach, Brian Schottenheimer, offered minimal insight, mentioning only that "there were some things that were missed," but later commended both players for their contributions on the field.

"Sign me up. I mean, what do you say? Those two guys, I just love their relationship, man," Schottenheimer remarked. "I love the firepower that they give us." He expressed enthusiasm for Pickens' long-term future with the team, highlighting the unpredictability of their performances.

The game held deeper significance for the Cowboys as it marked their first outing since the tragic passing of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland. Kneeland, who was just 24 years old, died by apparent suicide on November 6, shortly after scoring his first career touchdown.

Prior to kickoff, players and fans observed a moment of silence in Kneeland's memory, and the team donned special t-shirts honoring him. "It’s been a difficult 10 days as this team tries to process their loss while also trying to continue their season," noted sideline reporter Lisa Salters during the broadcast. She reflected on Kneeland's last game, where he recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown just days before his death.

Salters also shared insights from Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who conveyed a poignant message to his teammates: "When you think about Marshawn, run harder to the ball, focus in a little bit more, realizing that we’re getting to do something that Marshawn isn’t going to do anymore."

The Cowboys are set to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at home on Sunday, November 23.
