Checkers Worker Allegedly Fatally Shoots Customer Over Missing Mayonnaise Packet
A dispute over missing mayonnaise escalated into a fatal shooting at a Checkers drive-thru in Kissimmee, Florida, leaving one man dead and another facing serious charges.

Elijah Mackey, 23, an employee at the fast-food restaurant, allegedly shot 40-year-old Wesley Robertson late Wednesday night after Robertson expressed dissatisfaction with his order. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office reported that the confrontation began when Robertson complained about the absence of mayonnaise packets.
Witnesses recounted that Mackey exited the drive-thru window, hurling insults at Robertson before brandishing a firearm. According to the arrest warrant, he shot Robertson in the chest, leading to the customer's collapse against the restaurant wall. Robertson later succumbed to his injuries.

After the incident, Mackey fled on foot but was apprehended by police hiding under a stairwell at the nearby Celebration Suites hotel. Upon his arrest, he reportedly informed officers, "I have a gun on me," and repeatedly inquired about Robertson's condition.
Mackey now faces charges of first-degree premeditated murder, as indicated by court records. During his arraignment hearing on Friday, he was ordered to be held without bail.

This tragic event highlights the potential for violence in seemingly mundane situations, raising questions about safety in fast-food environments.
