Colorado Man Faces 1,200 Years in Prison for Spraying Bar With Gunfire
A Greeley man is in serious trouble after a wild incident at a local bar that left him facing a staggering 1,200 years in prison. Efren Sanchez, 39, was found guilty on Friday of 50 counts of attempted murder after he returned to the Rancho El Corazon bar, armed with a rifle, to settle a score with another patron who had "disrespected" him.

The jury took two days to deliberate before reaching their verdict, and now Sanchez is looking at a minimum sentence of 400 years, as stated by the 19th Judicial District Attorney's Office. This case has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the severe consequences of gun violence.
On August 13, 2022, Sanchez made a dramatic return to the bar, donning a mask and unleashing a barrage of 28 rounds at patrons gathered in the parking lot. Surveillance footage captured the chaos as he fired additional shots into the building before fleeing the scene.

Fortunately, two individuals who were behind a black pickup truck during the shooting sustained injuries but survived. The aftermath of Sanchez's actions left many shaken, as Chief Deputy District Attorney Michael Pirraglia emphasized during closing arguments, stating, "He shot bullet after bullet, causing panic and pain. These are innocent victims with forever reminders of the defendant's actions."

Sanchez is scheduled to return to court for sentencing on June 13, where the full extent of his punishment will be determined. This case serves as a stark reminder of the impact of reckless behavior and the importance of community safety.
