Jul 22 2025

Denver's women's professional soccer team has officially adopted the name Denver Summit Football Club, a decision announced on social media Tuesday morning. The club's crest, colors, and brand were also revealed, marking a significant milestone for the franchise.

The name emerged as the top choice from a fan vote that engaged 15,000 participants, showcasing community involvement in the club's identity.

As the 16th addition to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), Denver Summit FC is set to kick off its inaugural season in January 2026.

"We are pleased to unveil Denver Summit FC as our name and to share our crest and colors with Colorado and the world," stated Jen Millet, President of Denver Summit FC. "It was vital for us to name our club in collaboration with our community. Our crest, colors, and brand are representative of Denver and all of Colorado. It embraces our aspirational goals and pioneering spirit to build the best soccer club in the world."

Last month, the club broke ground on its official training center, a 43-acre facility developed in partnership with the City of Centennial and the Cherry Creek School District.

The training site will include a proposed temporary stadium with a capacity of 12,000 seats, alongside a dedicated training facility spanning approximately 20,000 square feet, designed specifically for professional women's sports.

Earlier this year, plans were also announced for a new stadium with a seating capacity of 14,500, located near I-25 and Broadway, which is anticipated to open in 2028.
