NYC Firefighter Who Once Claimed It Took Seven Cops to Arrest Him Now Arrested for DWI
An off-duty New York City firefighter, Jean Negron-Davila, who once made headlines for a confrontation with seven police officers during a street party in 2011, found himself in trouble again. The 36-year-old firefighter, assigned to Brooklyn's Engine 279, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Staten Island, as reported by the police.
The arrest took place around 4:18 a.m. when Negron-Davila was apprehended and subsequently refused to take a Breathalyzer test. In addition to the DWI charge, he also faced accusations of driving while ability impaired and for declining the Breathalyzer test.
Despite attempts to reach out to a representative for Negron-Davila for comments on the recent incident, there was no immediate response. This arrest marks another unfortunate event in Negron-Davila's history with the law.
Prior to this recent arrest, Negron-Davila made headlines in 2011 for his behavior during a weekend street party in Graniteville, Staten Island. Reports indicate that during the 2011 incident, he verbally abused police officers who were attempting to disperse the crowd.
According to police reports, Negron-Davila aggressively confronted the officers, hurling insults and even physically assaulting a lieutenant by punching him in the face. Court documents from the time revealed that after being subdued and handcuffed by the officers, Negron-Davila boasted about the incident, stating, "You guys fight like b**ches. It took seven of you to take me down."
