Maddie Rooney's Stellar Performance Leads Minnesota Frost to Victory Over Montreal Victoire
In a thrilling match on Tuesday night, Maddie Rooney showcased her talent by making 21 saves, earning her first shutout of the season and propelling the Minnesota Frost to a resounding 4-0 victory over the top-ranked Montreal Victoire.
The game saw Denisa Krizova shine with two goals, one of which was an empty-netter, while Liz Schepers and Kendall Coyne Schofield also found the back of the net for Minnesota.
This win not only ended the Frost's three-game losing streak but also put a stop to Montreal's impressive six-game winning run.

With her stellar performance, Coyne Schofield now shares the title of the league's top scorer with Toronto's Hannah Miller, both boasting 18 points (eight goals and 10 assists).
Montreal, who had been undefeated in terms of shutouts this season, faced their first blanking in front of 6,696 fans at Place Bell, as Elaine Chuli made 24 saves in her fifth start of the season.
Following this victory, the Frost secured the second spot in the six-team PWHL, trailing Montreal by five points with 29 points in total. However, the Victoire have two games in hand.
After conceding 15 goals in their previous three games, the Frost tightened up their defense, showcasing a remarkable turnaround in their performance.
Despite a strong start by the Victoire, their momentum waned as Rooney stood firm in goal. The Montreal team managed only three shots in the challenging second period, a stark contrast to their nine shots in the first.
